I’m Ruthanne Swanson: creative thinker, problem solver, and your go-to Commercial Lines accounts manager.  Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, I enjoyed a career in the theater industry before switching gears and bringing my nontraditional background and creativity to the insurance industry.
 

I believe that handling commercial insurance can – and should – be a joyful and inventive process. One of my goals at DML insurance is bringing that positive mindset to our workplace and our clients. My previous experience in theater has taught me to prioritize collaboration and thinking outside the box, as well as approaching stressful situations with a calm and positive outlook.
 

When I’m not in the office, I’m with my husband and our very active son: playing with trucks, looking at stars, and laughing non-stop. One of my biggest passions is sewing and design, and I love finding new ways to engineer and build clothing.
 

It’s important to me, personally and professionally, to have an open-minded and flexible approach to finding solutions. My goal is to help business owners, employees, customers, and vendors have a comprehensive plan in place when it comes to insurance – and I’m the person that can help make that happen.
