Self-proclaimed insurance geek, Grandma, volunteer, community activist and CEO of DML Insurance.

As a 25 year veteran of the insurance industry and a strong advocate for giving back, my foremost passion is to do whatever I can to help and support others. Whether my family, clients, individuals, businesses or whole communities, I’m happiest when I’m rolling up my sleeves, pitching-in, raising-funds or just helping to spread the word about an awesome organization. My husband Ron calls my volunteerism the only “hobby” I have… and I think he’s right!

I formed DML Insurance in 2004 as an independent insurance brokerage. I hold licenses to practice in the states of Washington, Oregon, Alaska, California, Idaho, Montana, New York and Georgia, which is great because I love to travel, experience new places and meet as many people as I can.

In 1997, I received my Associate Degree in Risk Management designation from the Insurance Institute of America. Before that I earned my BA from Carroll College in Helena, Montana in education and psychology, which comes in very handy in my line of work.

I am very active in my local community. I sit on the board for the Greater Seattle Business Association and I’m a member of Women Business Owners. I am a past board member of City Year and served on the Endowment Council for the YMCA of Greater Seattle. I am also a former “Big Sister” in the King County Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

From time to time I conduct insurance seminars and classes for groups including the Washington State Bar Association, the federal Small Business Administration and the Washington Community Alliance for Self-Help.

From the moment my feet hit the ground in the morning, I am full speed ahead doing what I love to do, helping people. But at the end of the day I get to go home and be wife to my guy, mom to my son and daughter-in-law and “Yaya” to my four beautiful grandchildren. I love to cook, entertain, sip fabulous Northwest wines and just enjoy the amazing life that I have.

Life is good!
